Being a first-generation American makes me even more motivated to accomplish as much as I can and really make sure that the sacrifice that my parents have made is worth it.

It was a very impossible mission to come study here in the U.S., considering the type of background I'm from.
One of the great things about coming to a university like USF is that I got to participate in the creation of new mathematical ideas. Instead of admiring what others had done, I was able to actually create and be a part of this mathematical community.
