The Students of Concern Assistance Team (SOCAT) is the Behavioral Intervention Team for the USF Tampa campus. The SOCAT committee provides assistance and support to SOS staff on students of high concern by assessing referrals, developing action plans and monitoring red flag behaviors across the campus community.

Student Outreach and Support (SOS) is the case management office for SOCAT that provides direct-services to all active USF Tampa students that exhibit or identify difficulties related to personal, emotional, or behavioral distress. SOS staff reviews all referrals daily, provides outreach to and conducts needs assessments with students referred through the SOCAT Referral Link
