During the CBCS Fall 2023 Assembly held Friday afternoon, multiple CBCS faculty were recognized for receiving tenure and promotion within the college. Four professors were awarded tenure and 14 were promoted.
From the Department of Criminology, Chae Jaynes, PhD was awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor and Bryanna Fox, PhD and Ráchael Powers, PhD were promoted to full professor.
In the School of Social Work, Jerome Galea, PhD was awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor. Melissa Thompson, MSW was promoted to associate instructor and Pam Alvarez, DM, MSW was promoted to associate professor of instruction.
School of Aging Studies faculty Debra Dobbs, PhD and Hongdao “Daniel” Meng, PhD, MPH, MD were promoted to full professor.
Nicoleta Zenn, EdS, NCSP was promoted to associate professor of instruction in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy.
In the Deparment of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Michelle Arnold, AUD, PhD, CCC-A and Supraja Anand, PhD were awarded tenure and promoted to associate professor. Andrea Smith, MA was promoted to senior instructor.
From the Department of Child and Family Studies, Linda Callejas, PhD was promoted to associate research professor and Cathy Sowell, MSW was promoted to associate in research.
