Information Technology (IT)

USF Information Technology (USF IT) provides technology services and support for USF, including campuses in Tampa (including USF Health), St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee.

Parking & Transportation Services

The Parking and Transportation Services Department maintains the university's 20,000+ space parking system, including four parking garages and a 7-route transit system, which operates 7 days a week. Their system is large and continually growing in order to support the ever-changing needs of a dynamic, premier public research university. The department is committed to providing the USF community and their guests with information and guidance to help you explore all available parking and transportation options and to help you become familiar with and understand our parking rules and regulations. Parking and Transportation Services is here to facilitate your access to our campus in an efficient and professional manner so that your experience is as pleasant as possible.

USF Writing Studio

The USF Writing Studio offers free writing assistance with experienced writing consultants to all currently enrolled USF undergraduate and graduate students. Their mission is to support USF writers as they develop writing, reading, and critical thinking practices appropriate for their majors and future professions. The Studio offers a supportive, welcoming space that values collaboration, reflection, and student engagement.

Diversity, Inclusion & Equal Opportunity

The Office of Diversity, Inclusion & Equal Opportunity focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and work more proactively to establish outreach initiatives both university and community wide. These initiatives may involve culture-change initiatives, programming, training and resources that build on our signature programs. 


Department of Emergency Management

The Department of Emergency Management coordinates activities to protect, prevent and mitigate against; respond to; and recover from disasters and emergencies affecting the University. Using an all-hazards approach, DEM coordinates emergency operations to enhance a safe and secure environment at USF that is conducive to living, learning, and working. With Hurricane Season upon us, it is important to know the hazards presented by hurricanes and how you can prepare. The USF Hurricane Guide provides information on preparedness measures and what you can expect from the university in a tropical weather situation. The brief Emergency Protective Actions online module provides an all-hazards overview of protective actions that students, staff and faculty may take when faced with potentially hazardous situations.

The University maintains a comprehensive Emergency Notification System, called AlertUSF, for the purpose of issuing immediate notification to keep the USF community informed and safe during an emergency situation. Sign up to receive emergency notifications via text message.


Judy Genshaft Honors College & Undergraduate Research

Intellectual curiosity, global citizenship, and service are the hallmarks of this interdisciplinary college, a home to high achieving undergraduate students on all three USF campuses. Faculty from across USF teach small, seminar-style courses in a range of unique topics that challenge students to think across disciplines and engage in the world around them.

The Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships (OCEP) exists to expand and strengthen university–community engagement locally, nationally, and globally in support of USF's strategic priorities to:

Committee on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (CISOGI)

CISOGI's mission is to advise the President on matters pertaining to issues of sexual and/or affectional orientation as they pertain to USF faculty, staff, and students; evaluate and monitor the university environment for problems and issues related to these matters.  Our meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

The Patel College of Global Sustainability (PCGS) is the newest degree-granting college at the University of South Florida and is unique in its mission and its approach.

STUDENT SUCCESS 

Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center at USF Tampa is the centralized hub for learning support on the USF Tampa Campus. The ASC is made up of three sub centers that provide a wide array of resources. Study Skills Mentors are one of the many resources the ASC offers. These are peer mentors focused on helping students with non-content based challenges such as time management and study strategies. Center for Victim Advocacy & Violence Prevention

The Center for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention believes that preventing violence is everyone’s responsibility. The office offers confidential trainings, workshops, events, and marketing campaigns on topics such as sex-positive consent, bystander intervention, healthy relationships, and much more!

Innovative Education Digital Learning

Innovative Education is an academic support unit that partners with USF’s colleges to produce innovative, high-quality, non-traditional for-credit and non-credit programs designed to meet the needs of today’s learners.

As leaders in digital education, Innovative Education’s Digital Learning team work with USF faculty, across all three campuses, to develop and deliver high-quality online courses and engaging digital content. Their team of learning designers, videographers, multimedia developers and faculty support professionals work collaboratively with faculty to reimagine learning in a digital space. 

Innovative Education's Marketing & Recruitment team is dedicated to providing modern and innovative marketing services to our campus partners. They work with academic units across USF to develop strategic plans to help market programs, recruit qualified students, and reach business goals.

The Accelerated Summer and Intersession Academic Programs (ASAP) team partners with faculty across USF to develop summer and intersession courses that will help students accomplish their academic goals. Summer & Intersession at USF provides students access to a variety of educational opportunities beyond the traditional Fall and Spring academic calendar. USF offers students the unique opportunity to progress in their academic careers through programs that span 365 days a year.   

Corporate Training and Professional Education (CTPE) works to foster community engagement, professional development, and opportunities for lifelong learning to the Tampa Bay community and workforce. We partner with corporate leaders to develop professional development training for their teams and offer working professionals the opportunity to network and connect with mentors and peers in their respective industries.


Student Accessibility Services

Student Accessibility Services provides reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities. Creating an accessible environment is a collaborative process that involves the entire USF community.

To help ensure student success, Student Accessibility Services provides accommodation memos, classroom accommodations (such as extended exam time, attendance modifications and ASL interpreters), and consultation with faculty about any accommodation concerns.

Town & Gown

Town & Gown was established in 1977 in an effort to bridge the gap between community supporters in the downtown Tampa area and the work of the University of South Florida and its faculty.  As an organization, it has provided assistance to the University in a variety of unique capacities:  hosting special guests, acting as USF ambassadors to the community and honoring exceptional academic departments.

The USF Chapter of the UFF consists of the UFF members at the three campuses of USF, and represents all USF faculty and professionals of the UFF USF Bargaining Unit in bargaining a contract that determines the terms and conditions of employment at USF.
