Cost of Attendance
International Student Cost of Attendance

Did you know that USF offers one of the lowest tuition rates in the country?
It’s true! We have been nationally recognized for our affordability and value by many outside organizations, including Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and U.S. News & World Report.
Tuition and Fees
Your tuition and fees are based on a number of factors, including undergraduate or graduate status, residency status and the type of housing you choose. Our costs often compare favorably with the rates at your local university.
USF Scholarships
As a student at USF, you will have many scholarship opportunities available to you.
- First-Year/Freshman Students: You will automatically qualify for admissions-based scholarships when you apply to USF by the Scholarship Consideration Deadline.
- Graduate Students: Explore assistantships offered through USF that reduce the cost of attendance.
The USF Foundation also offers a variety of scholarships. These are privately funded and require a separate scholarship application.
Financial Aid
Most international students will not qualify for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) funding, but you may qualify for one of the common exceptions.
If you qualify for one of these exceptions and can complete the FAFSA:
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be automatically considered for federal, state and university financial aid programs. Don't delay! Submit your FAFSA as early as possible (or by USF’s priority deadline) to be considered for the most types of aid possible.
Your financial aid award offer will list your estimated cost of attendance to attend USF for one academic year. It will also state the total amount of aid you will receive during the academic year, including scholarships, grants, loans and work-study.
Use our Cost Calculator alongside your financial aid award offer to accurately estimate your out-of-pocket costs to attend USF.
