Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology provides a broad, robust foundation in the biological sciences. It prepares students for graduate programs in biology (e.g. zoology, botany, conservation biology, microbiology, marine biology, ecology and evolution) as well as professional degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and pharmacology, or biology careers with industry and government agencies.

Students benefit from a comprehensive curriculum with opportunities for undergraduate research and hands-on lab experiences. Students at all levels can expect mentorship from faculty engaged in industry defining research. The program prepares graduates for a variety of professional pathways including healthcare, biotechnology, environmental conservation and scientific discovery to name a few.
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Marine Biology
The undergraduate Marine Biology program explores the ecology of marine environments and the nature of organisms inhabiting the oceans. The objective of this program is to augment the students’ foundation in basic biology with specialized knowledge and skills in marine biology that address contemporary issues such as coastal resilience, coastal pollution, diseases of marine organisms and restoring damaged habitats.
