Ruth Power, LCSW, MCAP has been serving the Tampa Bay area for over 25 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mississippi State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of South Florida. Ruth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Masters Certified Addictions Professional in the State of Florida.
Career Experience
Throughout her career, Ruth has worked primarily within non-profit social service
organizations. Her roles have included serving as a therapist, program manager, and
in various leadership capacities. Ruth has also held the role of visiting instructor
and adjunct instructor at the University of South Florida’s School of Social Work.
Areas of Practice
Ruth’s experience encompasses working with individuals, couples, and groups. She assists
clients facing a wide range of challenges, helping them initiate meaningful changes
in their lives. Her areas of interest include developing collaborative relationships
on a macro level, social work policy, working with at risk youth, people experiencing
substance use disorders, people experiencing mental health difficulties and couples
who are working on their relationships.
