CASLS
The Collaborative for Advanced Social Learning and Simulation (CASLS) is a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary training initiative housed within the University of South Florida School of Social Work. CASLS leverages advanced simulation to create immersive, high-impact learning experiences where students and professionals can practice complex, real-world scenarios, refine critical skills, and receive immediate, structured feedback without risk to clients or families.
By replicating the realities of high-stakes practice, CASLS accelerates workforce readiness in core areas such as communication, crisis response, clinical assessment, trauma-informed engagement, and ethical decision-making. Designed in partnership with community agencies, the USF Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation, the USF Simulation House in St. Petersburg, the Duvall Initiative, and allied departments across USF, CASLS aligns training with the evolving demands of child, family, adult, and community-serving systems, positioning participants to perform with confidence, competence, and consistency when it matters most.
