Dr. Lynn’s research focuses on implementation science, evidence-informed interventions, and health care delivery for people dual and multi diagnosed with HIV, mental health, and/or substance use disorders. Dr. Lynn’s work also explores terminology (word choices) physicians, researchers, public health professionals, and others use to describe HIV and other highly stigmatized health conditions and how those word choices impact stigma and discrimination.
Dr. Lynn has spent the past three decades advocating for HIV, human justice, and equality issues. As a public health and social work professional, Dr. Lynn has worked with diverse populations, collaborating with local and national organizations on HIV prevention, care, and treatment issues.
Dr. Lynn teaches in the undergraduate and graduate social work programs with a focus on research and statistics, policy, integrated health care, women’s mental health, and human behavior. She enjoys working with students to help support their career goals and professional journey.
