Statement From the School of Social Work on the Passing of Dr. Cleo Roberts

We are saddened by the passing of Dr. Cleo Roberts. In the words of Dr. Anne Strozier who knew her well, "Cleo was a vibrant leader of our school, from the early days. She created the research segment of our MSW program and for many years students conducted research projects, usually at their internships, and wrote them up as almost Masters level theses. She also created "Research Day" where all students had the opportunity to present their research projects to fellow students and faculty". Dr. Cleo Roberts was a strong supporter of the School of Social Work who will be remembered for her contributions to Social Work education and for her high standards and compassion for students and their learning.
