Faculty & Staff Services
As we have added COVID screening, testing, and support for Students, Student Health & Wellness Center cannot offer general medical office visits to Faculty or Staff. We do offer a number of other Faculty & Staff services: Flu and COVID boosters, Medical Response Unit, Bulls Country Pharmacy and Travel clinic for USF affiliated travel.
Walk in for Flu Vaccine
Now offering 'Flu vaccination on Tampa campus to Faculty & Staff without an appointment. The flu shot is covered 100% by State PPO and HMO. OPS employees may receive the flu shot for only $25. If your employee plan does not cover the vaccination 100%, maximum cost is $25 for employees. Tampa campus: walk-in Mon, Tues, Thurs, or Fri. Wednesdays, we provide a mobile clinic. On St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee campuses: please call for hours!
Medical Response Unit
The Medical Response Unit (MRU) is available to assist employees and guests on the Tampa campus Monday - Friday 10am-7pm. Faculty & Staff may call 813.974.4678 (4MRU) for on-scene mobile medical interventions with non workplace related injuries. The MRU will meet employees throughout the Tampa campus, where needed. The MRU is self-funded. There is no cost for treatment or medical transportation.
Bulls Country Pharmacy
Bulls Country Pharmacy is open to Faculty & Staff for prescribed and over the counter medications and state agency rates! Located in the new Student Health & Wellness Center. We protect the Herd one prescription at a time.
Travel Clinic
Make an appointment to meet with our travel health nurse for information on required immunizations and ways to prevent travel-related illness. Book your appointment early as some vaccines require a series of injections and must be completed a month or more before travel. Come prepared with your immunization records and travel itinerary.
COVID vaccination Boosters
Updated COVID vaccines boosters are available as of 10/2/2023. Limited quantities are available on each campus. Please call your campus Student Health Clinic to schedule your vaccination and confirm availability.
