Student Health Services, the University Emergency Medicine Student Association (UEMSA) and USF Student Government have collaborated to develop a Medical Response Unit (MRU) Program at the University of South Florida's Tampa campus.

The MRU Service provides on-scene Basic Life Support (BLS) medical interventions for students, staff, faculty, and guests of the USF Tampa campus by calling 813.974.4MRU (813.974.4678). The MRU Service hours of operation coincide with Student Health Services' hours of operation: Monday and Friday 10AM to 6PM.

The MRU Service is staffed by state and nationally certified paramedics, EMTs, and emergency medical responders (EMRs). The MRU will provide free courtesy medical transportation to and from Student Health Services, the Morsani Institute, and the on-campus residence halls for students.
