More about the Dietitian

A dietitian (or dietician) is an expert in dietetics; that is, human nutrition and the regulation of diet. A dietitian advises people on what to eat in order to lead a healthy lifestyle or to achieve a specific health-related goal. Students can receive counseling on becoming healthier, losing weight or becoming vegan, vegetarian, or pescatarian. Student Health Services sponsors events for free nutrition counseling with our Registered Dietitian. Topics include: balanced eating at college, grocery shopping on a budget, and how to put together balanced meals. Seminars are held at Student Health Services Annex. Students may reserve their spot on the Wellness USF page through BullSync/Engage. Fall 2019 sessions are in the afternoons of: Thursday 9/5, Wednesday 9/18, Thursday 10/3, Wednesday 10/23, Thursday 11/7, and Wednesday 11/20.
