About Us


The Center for Victim Advocacy provides free and confidential services to USF students, faculty, and staff. We serve men, women, and people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expression who have experience crime, violence or abuse on or off campus either recently or in the past.


The mission of the Center for Victim Advocacy is to empower survivors of crime, violence, or abuse by promoting the restoration of decision making, by advocating for their rights, and by offering support and resources.

Confidentiality Statement

The USF Center for Victim Advocacy assures confidentiality to all who utilize the department's services. All of the advocates are certified by the state of Florida's attorney general office as confidential advocates and are afforded privilege under Florida state law. Client names, identifying information and any disclosures will be kept confidential unless an advocate receives explicit permission from the client to release the information to a specific third party.
