Overview

The University of South Florida School of Social Work offers a variety of programs to choose from based on individuals varying needs and situations. The programs our school offers include:

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
    • Full time, lock-step structured program with two different modalities: an in-person cohort which takes their coursework through the Tampa campus and an online cohort which takes their coursework through the Sarasota-Manatee campus. The online cohort is a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous coursework.
  • Online Master of Social Work (MSW)
    • Offered across all 50 states, including the District of Columbia.
    • Part-time and full-time options
    • Advanced Standing program for applicants that hold a BSW.
    • Traditional program for applicants with a Bachelor degree in another field.
  • Campus-based Master of Social Work (MSW)  
    • Tampa campus program
      • Full-time and part-time options
      • Advanced Standing program for applicants that hold a BSW.
      • Traditional program for applicants with a Bachelor degree in another field.
    • Sarasota-Manatee Campus program
      • Part-time only
      • Advanced Standing program for applicants that hold a BSW.
      • Traditional program for applicants with a Bachelor degree in another field.
    • Concurrent Degree Option: Public Health and Social Work M.P.H./M.S.W. 
  • Ph.D. in Social Work
