Assistant Director, Academics

Carol Hines-Cobb

Carol is an Assistant Director in Academics. She works with graduate curriculum and policy, produces the Graduate Catalog, serves as a liaison for the Graduate Council and oversees the related academic websites. In addition, she works on many different projects related to graduate academics. Carol has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History from USF and has been at USF for over 29 years, serving first in the Office of Public Affairs, and then for the last 25 years as a member in the Office of Graduate Studies. Carol enjoys working at USF, especially in graduate education, because of the ever-changing nature of higher education. In addition to her position at USF, Carol is very active in the education community, serving on the Terrace Community Middle School Board of Directors, as well as teaching wellness classes.



Technology & Systems Manager, Academics

Joseph Butts

Joseph is a Technology & Systems Manager in Academics. He works with graduate curriculum, policy, graduate catalog, helps oversee the Office of Graduate Studies website, and works on many different data projects related to graduate academics. He has been a member of the Office of Graduate Studies Team since 1997. Joseph loves working at USF and one of his goals is to make a positive impact on graduate students and the community.



Academic Services Administrator

Mathdany Clark

Mathdany joined the Office of Graduate Studies in 2016. She previously worked in the College of Public Health for 7 years. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and obtained her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management. Currently, Mathdany works as an Academic Services Administrator focusing on student, faculty, and staff Graduate Catalog policy issues and reviewing petitions. Mathdany enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading books.



Academic Services Administrator, Cybersecurity

Lisa Wetmore

Lisa Wetmore joined the Office of Graduate Studies staff in August 2017, as an Academic Services Administrator for Cybersecurity. She received her B.S. in Management from Clearwater Christian and her M.A. in Counselor Education from USF. She has over 20 years of experience at USF. Many of those years were spent on the Lakeland Campus advising undergraduate and graduate Information Technology majors. She has experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and Coordinator for grant-funded project assisting individuals with disabilities in obtaining employment. Most recently she served as the Coordinator for the Honors Program at Polk State College. Lisa provides advising for the graduate Cybersecurity students. She enjoys working with the diverse group of distance learning graduate students and interacting with the faculty in this multidisciplinary major that includes four colleges and seven academic departments.



Academic Services Administrator, Cybersecurity

Leigh Anne Blackwell

Leigh Anne joined the Office of Graduate Studies in October 2018 and is currently advising Master of Science Cybersecurity students. She began her USF career in the Department of Chemistry, assisting graduate students through their doctoral programs. She has over ten years of academic advising experience, including work in the non-profit sector helping high school students with their career and college plans. Leigh Anne earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the University of Tampa and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Children’s Mental Health from USF. She understands the complex systems of a large university. She strives to make the student experience positive by guiding them through all procedural requirements in a straightforward manner, so that they may focus their attention on the amazing academics here at USF.
