How to Apply

Admission Requirements

Student Eligibility and Admissions Criteria

Students must apply and be admitted into the Graduate Certificate to be eligible to receive a Graduate Certificate. All requirements must be successfully completed for the Graduate Certificate to be awarded. Students are encouraged to contact the Graduate Certificate Director prior to applying. Admission to a Graduate Certificate does not imply automatic acceptance into a graduate degree program. However, the courses comprising the Graduate Certificate may be used in support of a student's application for admission into a graduate degree major and these courses may be eligible for transfer into the major with departmental/school approval.

University Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet minimum university admission requirements, including a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or higher (or a graduate GPA of 3.00, if applicable). If the applicant does not hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) conferred within the United States or from a designated English-speaking country, English proficiency testing must be submitted pursuant to the USF Graduate Catalog. For additional information concerning institutional minimum university admissions requirements, please refer to the current USF Graduate Catalog.

Some Graduate Certificates that lead to licensure may require additional materials. Please read the specific certificate program page in the USF Graduate Catalog to determine if any additional application materials are required. Questions about the admission requirements may be directed to the Graduate Contact listed on the Graduate Certificate Contact Information page.
