My approach to therapy: I am a current student in the Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling master’s program here at USF and serve as a graduate student clinician within the counseling center. I identify as a White, Queer, cisgender, man. My goal as a therapist is to serve students with the highest quality counseling I can offer while being open to learning from every student about how to best help them with concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, trauma, substance use and academic performance.
I approach therapy flexibly by using techniques that are individualized for each person while maintaining a core theoretical lens of cognitive behavioral therapy. In short, I stive to treat each client as an individual, get to know them, and meet them right where they are in life, whatever their circumstances. I also have a passion for, and extra training in, addiction counseling. I find this really useful as almost everyone has been impacted by addiction in some way in their life.
A Fun Fact: I have too many interests and not enough time! I like watching anime, stand-up comedy, cooking, playing video games, and traveling.
