Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Mentorship

The USF MPA program has a Mentoring Program which is opened to all MPA students. The Mentoring Program helps facilitate voluntary relationships between mentors and students for one academic year.

The goals of the program are:

  • To expose USF MPA students to the actual work environments, responsibilities, and interactions of professional administrative positions in Florida;
  • To bring USF MPA students into a mentor relationship with a practicing local administrator/nonprofit manager;
  • To help USF MPA students begin to develop their professional career networks; and
  • Further facilitate the relationship between university programs, sections, and local administrators/nonprofit managers.

Newly admitted students interested in the mentoring program should notify the Academic Program Specialist, Annie Valdez, or the MPA Director, Dr. Stephen Aikins.
