Del and Beth Kimbler Endowed Lecture Series hosted by INFORMS Chapter
The lecture series allows IMSE to bring in eminent scholars and researchers from academia, industry, and government laboratories to present their findings on critical challenges facing the world. The series serves as a window to the outside research world for our students, in particular doctoral students, and faculty.

USF researchers to play key role in making Tampa roads safer
Researchers from the University of South Florida are partnering with the City of Tampa to develop innovative solutions that will lead to safer travel conditions along busy roads within the city. The initiative stems from a new $2.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation received by the city and announced by Tampa Mayor Jane Castor.

Norma A. Alcantar was featured by USF Technology Transfer to discuss her patented technologies using cactus mucilage for filtering contaminants from freshwater to provide clean drinking water, to novel therapies for Alzheimer's disease and treatments cancer tumor cells.
CSE Hosts our First AI+X Symposium
CSE hosted its first AI+X Symposium on September 29, 2023 with opening remarks from Provost and Professor Prasant Mohapatra. The event brought together 110 researchers and corporate representatives to foster synergy for innovative new projects and research through a series of panels and discussions.
