USF students compete to launch experiments aboard space station

More than 3,700 students across North America competed to design experiments bound for the International Space Station through the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program. USF students joined the competition for the first time.

Along the seawall of Bayboro Harbor, a group of USF students and professors have installed 3D-printed habitats they hope will soon house oysters that can filter thousands of gallons of water per day – improving water quality and ecosystem health.
