Applications are now open for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Apply online here!

Priority Deadline to Apply: Friday, March 22, 2024

LIP students work 9 hours per week in the offices of federal, state, and local legislators or think-tank/policy agencies. These groups are actively involved in Tampa Bay's economic development, transportation, environmental protection, education, health, social welfare, or public finance. The LIP seminar discusses internship experiences, issues facing Tampa Bay, and policy initiatives created to solve them.

Up to fifteen (15) undergraduate juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.60 will be selected to participate. All majors and disciplines are welcome to apply from all three campuses.

Each student will be carefully matched with an elected official or organization according to their interests to provide a meaningful learning experience. The students selected to participate in LIP will be awarded a $300 scholarship by the USF Alumni Association.

Students: For questions about the application process, please contact Catherine Koziol, the USF College of Arts & Sciences Internship Coordinator, for more information.

For all other program and academic inquiries, please reach out to Dr. Robin Ersing, the USF School of Public Affairs Director.
