Campus Life

Welcome to our “city within a city.” We say this because our campus functions a lot like a small town. We attend concerts and sporting events in our own stadium, dine and hang with friends at the student center and enjoy being part of a diverse population of more than 42,000 students from across the U.S. and around the globe.

There's a unique and unmistakable energy that characterizes student life at USF. Just by walking onto campus, our current and prospective students get that at-home community feel. The campus is bursting with opportunities to get involved, meet new friends, discover your passions and make a difference.

We have a number of opportunities to get active throughout the year. We join clubs, fraternities and sororities, cheer on the USF Bulls, plan Homecoming parades and concert, attend art exhibits and free events, and interact with celebrities through our University Lecture Series. With more than 600 recognized student organizations for interests in everything from politics, religion, the arts, sports and more; there is always something to get in involved in. Get involved to meet friends and have fun!

There’s also plenty to do off campus, with some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, historical areas to explore like Ybor City and multiple professional sports teams. You won’t ever get bored living in the Tampa Bay area.

At USF, we live in residence halls. We hang out and eat lunch at the Marshall Student Center, home to many of USF’s clubs and organizations. We take full advantage of the 28,000-square-foot Campus Recreation Center for anything from workouts or to participate in more than the 50 intramural sports we offer.

No matter your background or interests, USF campus life is always energetic and has a special place for you!
