Schedule a GCP Info Session
What is a GCP Info Session?
The Global Citizen Award program is a fun and flexible way for USF undergraduate students to develop the qualities of a global citizen and be rewarded for their accomplishments. Students can create their own adventure by attending campus events and completing 2 global activities from the options of research, community service, upper-level foreign language coursework, Global Citizens coursework, internships, study abroad/away.
To get the word out about this great program and begin the conversation about global citizenship with USF undergraduate students, we are offering to present informational sessions in any undergraduate course. In our 30-minute to 1-hour presentation, entitled "What in the WORLD is a Global Citizen?", we introduce students to the topic of global citizenship, tell them about the Global Citizen Award, and connect them with our student liaisons who are already pursuing the Award.
In this presentation students will explore what it means to be a global citizen, learn how to connect with important global issues and people from diverse backgrounds and places, and find out how to participate in the Global Citizen Award program. This presentation is available to any interested parties who would like to share with their students the benefits of being a Global Citizen – classes, student organizations, departments, on-campus communities, etc...
At this time (September 2021) we are pausing requests for information sessions as we reconfigure our program. We recommend showing the video below for information on getting started with the Global Citizen Award.
