The First Day of Camp

Oceanography Camp for Girls 2019

Oceanography Camp for Girls 2019

Written by: Kyle Amergian

Our first day of camp focuses around getting to know each other and making new friends. One fun activity everyone participates is called “Have you ever.” We play this games as a means to get to know one another and discover similarities we may share. Everyone gathers in a circle with one person in the center. The center person asks the rest of the group “have you ever (something they have done),” and if you have also done that activity you must move spots. The girl left without a spot then becomes the center person asking the question. Some camp favorites include “have you ever gone scuba diving”, “have you ever gone fishing”, and many more. This game sparks smiles and lots of laughter!
