Catching Up With Honors Alum Sy-Woei Hao

From her start as a biology and psychology major at the University of South Florida to her current pursuit of a PhD in educational psychology at her alma mater, Sy-Woei Hao’s academic journey has been motivated by her compassion for others and desire to find meaningful ways to make an impact. She currently invests in the next generation of law students at Stetson University College of Law as Assistant Director of Dispute Resolution and works as a practicing attorney.

Honors Students Envision Accessibility with AI at the 2026 Grand Challenge

This spring, the Judy Genshaft Honors College’s Grand Challenge combined artificial intelligence and student creativity together to make museums more accessible for guests with disabilities. The winners of the challenge produced strategic projects with the guest experience at the heart of the designs, and they are now implementing their work in local museums in the Tampa Bay area.
