USF Honors College Welcomes Class of 2030, Its Most Selective Cohort to Date

The Judy Genshaft Honors College welcomed 672 new Honors students during its 2026 Convocation ceremonies in Tampa and St. Petersburg. With the lowest acceptance rate in the college’s 43-year history, the class of 2030 is its most selective cohort to date. Students gathered to celebrate their new academic community and hear from university leaders, alumni, and fellow students about making the most of their USF experience.

Sixteen Honors students were among USF’s 22 King O’Neal Scholars this summer, a distinction recognizing students graduating with a 4.0 GPA. The Judy Genshaft Honors College celebrated its Summer 2026 graduates’ commitment to exploring new academic paths, engaging in challenging coursework and research projects, and building meaningful connections at special graduate celebration ceremonies across USF.

Student Projects Take Center Stage at Summer Research Symposium; Alumna's Gift Creates Endowment for Undergraduate Research

The two-day research symposium on USF’s Tampa and St. Petersburg campuses featured 151 scholars presenting 128 research projects. The presenters included USF undergraduates, recent USF graduates and students from 22 colleges and universities participating in USF-sponsored research programs.
