Health Professions Pathway Programs

The Judy Genshaft Honors College offers three health professions pathway programs to the Master's in Medical Sciences, Doctor of Audiology, and B.S. to PHD in Nursing Science degree programs, as well as a complete list of program requirements.

M.S. in Medical Sciences

This guaranteed admission program (GAP) allows qualified students graduating from the Judy Genshaft Honors College guaranteed acceptance into USF's Pre-Professional M.S. in Medical Sciences (MSP3) program. Each year, the MSP3 program receives approximately 1,000 applications for its 260 seats. This requires that the program be selective with admission. Students in this GAP who meet admission criteria will be guaranteed placement.

Doctor of Audiology

First-time in college (FTIC) USF students who have been admitted to the Judy Genshaft Honors College and are interested in a career in audiology are offered a guaranteed admission pathway to USF’s College of Community & Behavioral Sciences (CBCS), Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders to complete a Doctor of Audiology (AuD). Students must meet all the benchmarks of the program, including a successful interview with CSD.

B.S./PhD in Nursing Science

First-time in college (FTIC) USF students who have been admitted to the Judy Genshaft Honors College and are interested in a career as nurse scientists are offered an Early Pathway to USF’s College of Nursing (CON) to complete a BS in Nursing and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing Science. USF CON’s PhD Program prepares nurse scientists to educate the next generation of nurses and positively affect the lives of millions.
