The Judy Genshaft Honors College Student Council (JGHCSC) serves as a way for students
to develop leadership/professional development skills, contribute to the local Tampa
Bay community, and network with honors faculty, staff, and students.
The mission of the Judy Genshaft Honors College Student Council is to develop a community
of leaders by providing opportunities for leadership/professional development, social
connectivity, and service in order to achieve a balanced honors experience. Students
who are part of this organization will utilize digital technology to market and promote
honors events, plan and facilitate JGHCSC events, and work with local community partners
to create service opportunities for honors students.
We have three committees for students to join: events, volunteer, and marketing &
public relations (MPR). Each committee is led by two co-chairs. In addition, we have
a president, vice president, leadership and professional development chair, and an educational

including working with children, animals, the elderly, local schools, and much more!
Students in this committee can expect to plan service opportunities for the College,
fundraise for a local agency, reflect on service opportunities, and learn about social
issues within the Tampa Bay community.
Meets Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
