Accelerated Programs

The Judy Genshaft Honors College offers a number of accelerated academic programs.

Provost's Scholars Program

In this program qualified students enter USF directly from high school with 18 or more appropriate credits and are offered the opportunity to complete their undergraduate education in just three years. Students are provided preferred registration, summer scholarships, and funding for study abroad opportunities. Qualifying students should present a 3.8 weighted H.S. GPA (as calculated by USF) and a 1280 SAT or 27 ACT score.

7-Year B.S./MD Program

The Judy Genshaft Honors College has partnered with the USF Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) to provide first-time in college freshmen with an accelerated pathway into the USF MD Program. This program allows honors students the opportunity to receive admission to MCOM and complete a medical degree in seven years, provided that the student continues to meet all the benchmarks of the program, along with a successful MCOM interview.

7-Year B.S./PharmD Program

First-time in college (FTIC) Judy Genshaft Honors College students who are interested in attending pharmacy school have an opportunity to receive admission to USF Health's Taneja College of Pharmacy (TCOP) and complete a doctorate in pharmacy (PharmD) in seven years, provided that the student continues to meet all the benchmarks of the program, including a successful TCOP interview.

Bachelor's/J.D. Program

The Judy Genshaft Honors College at USF has an agreement with Stetson University College of Law (SUCL) to offer an accelerated Bachelor's/J.D. program. This program, known as the "Stetson 3+3 Program" allows honors students to use their first year of law curriculum at SUCL to count as the fourth year of elective requirements for their bachelor's degree. Students will graduate from USF as a second-year law student.
