Dr. Serge Andrefouet was visiting USF when he processed an image that just keeps on winning. The image he processed, a 2001 Landsat-7 satellite image of sand and seaweed beds in the Bahamas, was just crowned the winner of NASA’s Tournament Earth 2020 contest. Congrats to Dr. Andrefouet, who is now with the French Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (I.R.D.). The image was ranked at the top by more than 56,000 votes, and was actually the runner-up in a previous contest 10 years ago.
