On October 26, students, faculty, staff, and community members gathered to celebrate graduate students at the University of South Florida College of Marine Science whose scholarly contributions earned them fellowships and awards.

Dean Tom Frazer opened the ceremony by recognizing the students' successes and offering words of encouragement as they continue their academic and professional journeys.

"We are absolutely thrilled by everything our amazing graduate students have accomplished this past year," Frazer said. "This is a fantastic opportunity to rally together as a community and celebrate their amazing journey as future oceanographers!"

After a challenging year for the college, the ceremony celebrated the next generation of marine scientists. The awards recognize not only the students' achievements but also their potential to advance ocean research and address pressing challenges facing marine environments.
