Students showcase projects at 2026 Undergraduate Research Conference

The University of South Florida celebrated the creativity, curiosity and scholarly ambition of its students at the 2026 OneUSF Undergraduate Research Conference, which featured more than 500 student research projects across USF’s three campuses. 

McKenzie Newbern

USF marine biology student selected as NOAA Hollings Scholar

USF student Mckenzie Newbern has been selected as a 2026 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Ernest F. Hollings Scholar. She will attend a training with NOAA this May and participate in a research internship with NOAA in summer 2027.

Projects bring industry experience to USF biomedical engineering seniors

Students in USF's biomedical engineering program are bringing ideas to life through hands on, industry sponsored design projects. For seniors in the program, this experience culminated in their capstone presentation.

Students are helping to catalogue artifacts, correspondence, photographs and other material that will lead to a permanent museum exhibition on the life, works and teachings of the Nobel Peace Prize recipient.
