  • All memberships valid from date of purchase
  • Current USF ID or Recreation & Wellness Community Card required
  • Students and Faculty/Staff with tuition waivers must purchase appropriate membership
  • Appropriate employment will be verified at time of purchase
  • A valid membership gives access to all Recreation & Wellness facilities on the Tampa campus (includes building, pools, classes, parks, and outdoor spaces)

Why is the Membership Services office closed?

The office space inside is not conducive for meeting the social distancing requirements. We will remain closed for Spring 2021 while USF is still in Phase II of the reopening plan. Please email membership services at campusrec@usf.edu if you have additional questions that are not covered in the Q&A. 

Will my membership be extended to cover the period over the Holidays during which the facilities were closed (Nov 26 - Jan 8)?

Yes.  All memberships that expired during the Thanksgiving & Holiday break (Nov 26 - Jan 8) will be given a new agreement based upon your original expiration date. Memberships that expire on or subsequent to January 9 will receive a six-week extension on their existing agreement.  If you have questions regarding memberships, please email campusrec@usf.edu

Are the lockers rooms open?

No. Locker rooms in both the Campus Recreation Center (REC) and the FIT are closed.

Where can I drop my gear when I come for a workout?

Day-lockers will be available on both the cardio and strength floors at the REC.  

How can I make changes to my membership?

I am not currently a member. Can I join?

Yes.  We have a variety of membership options available for new and previous members of USF's Recreation & Wellness facilities.  Please see the Membership Options at the top of this page.  Unfortunately, due to COVID, not all of our previously available memberships are available in Spring 2021.

I cancelled my membership during the closure. Can I restart it?

Yes.  Please contact Membership Services at campusrec@usf.edu

Can I continue to freeze my membership, even after you reopen?

Yes.  Please contact Membership Services at campusrec@usf.edu

Can I receive a refund for the time you were closed?

No monetary refunds are being issued. Instead, we are extended active memberships to ensure you get the full value of your agreement.

Can I bring a guest?

No.  Guest are prohibited while the University remains in Phase II.

Can I speak to someone about my membership payroll deductions?
