Languages in which I conduct therapy: English, Spanish

Pronouns: They/them and She/Her

My approach to therapy: I’m a Latinx, non-binary immigrant from Colombia primarily raised in Clearwater, Florida. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Affairs from Florida State University and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from USF. Additionally, I earned a Graduate Certificate in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London. I’m currently in the final semester of my Master’s program in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at the USF, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. I strongly believe in bridging the connections between social science and psychotherapy to ensure the best client outcomes from a systemic and individual level. I take an integrative approach to therapy that helps clients feel empowered, build resilience, strengthen relationships, and celebrate their unique cultural backgrounds. I’ve had the opportunity to work in community mental health, where I supported individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of presenting concerns. As a bilingual counselor-in-training, I strive to provide culturally competent care and continuously learn from my clients. I work under the supervision of a licensed Mental Health Counselor to ensure I’m providing the highest level of care while continuing to strengthen my skills.

Fun fact: In my free time I love to read, listen to music, and make art! I love to read LGBTQ+ history books, self-help books, autobiographies, political theory, and books about counseling. I also love movement and often lift weights, attend yoga classes, rock-climb, and go hiking.
