Study Abroad/Away Opportunities

The Judy Genshaft Honors College encourages students to participate in our academic and service trips, both foreign and domestic. Many study abroad trips are planned each year, some of which for academic credit. Also, the college offers three to four affordable study away trips which allow students to travel to different parts of America with the intent to expand horizons and bond with other students and faculty. Scholarships are available.

Study Abroad Trips

The Judy Genshaft Honors College hosts a number of study abroad trips each year. These experiences allow Honors students to travel internationally and participate in academic- and service-oriented experiences. To accommodate diverse student schedules, these trips are offered as both part of a semester-long course (with one- to two- weeks of international travel included) and as week-long spring break trips that are not associated with a class.

Study Away Trips

The Judy Genshaft Honors College offers domestic travel co-curricular opportunities. Honors staff and faculty (including in many cases Dean Adams) lead trips to places like Key West, FL, Savannah, GA, and national parks. The goal of these trips is to offer an affordable yet expansive opportunity for students to engage in cultural, environmental, and community-building activities.
