Institutional Effectiveness

Institutional Effectiveness (IE) provides leadership on USF's regional accreditation and support for discipline specific accreditation requirements including annual reporting to the Florida Board of Governors.

As part of USF's efforts toward continuous quality improvement, IE administers academic and student support services assessment efforts as required by the Florida Board of Governors (BOG) and Southern Association of Colleges and School Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and facilitates reporting about academic and student support services assessments to these agencies.

Academic Program Review

Florida BOG regulations require the review of academic degree programs on a seven year cycle. IE administers this process and provides guidance for academic programs during their review.

Institutes & Centers

USF Institutes & Centers must provide annual assessment reports to meet both BOG and SACSCOC requirements. Depending on the focus of the unit (i.e.research/community engagement vs. student learning/student success), units will either report annually to a dean or vice president or in SAM. IE administers the process for the development and submission of SACSCOC and BOG reports and maintains the list of USF Centers and Institutes that are included in the SUS Inventory.
