FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) - UPDATED 5/12/20
Housing will not be available on-campus during the summer orientation period. For the fall, we continue to accept housing applications and students may select their rooms on-campus. We expect that there may be some changes to the fall arrival process to follow CDC Guidelines, but will announce any changes as we have more information available.
There is no deadline to apply for housing at USF. Once a student has submitted their housing application fee, registered for online orientation, and submitted the required immunization documentation, the student may go into the housing portal to select their room for the fall/spring academic year.
Students may select and change their room on campus until June 30. After that, USF Housing & Residential Education will assign any remaining active applications to a room on-campus as space allows.
Students can apply for housing any time after they are admitted to USF. Proof of health insurance is not necessary to apply for housing. Students must register for orientation and submit immunizations, not proof of health insurance, before they can select a room.
In order to live on campus, students must show proof of required immunizations or share documentation that they have declined optional immunizations.
The 2020 fall student housing agreement begins on Thursday, August 20. We are still developing the process for fall move-in to adhere to CDC guidelines and allow for an efficient and safe arrival and move-in process. More details will be shared later in the summer as we know more.
