Standby Process

11/18/21 Update: The Spring Standby list has reached capacity and the request form has closed. Should additional beds become available, the Standby List Request process will be re-opened.

With so many students wanting to participate in the residential experience, student housing on the USF Tampa campus has reached full capacity for Spring 2022. At this time, we have begun our Standby List process. The Standby List was limited to the first 100 requests due to the number of beds expected to be available.

Standby List Information
Please keep in mind that when you join the standby list, you will be assigned to the next space that becomes available. Due to limited availability, any indicated room preferences will not be taken into account for your assignment. Once you are assigned, you will be held to the terms of the housing agreement. You can opt out of the Standby List at any time by sending an email to informing our office of the request.

We will work to find you a space on campus as soon as one comes available. We will also maintain weekly communication to keep you informed. If you don’t wish to participate in the Standby List process, we would encourage you to explore the housing options at the USF St. Petersburg or the Student Government’s Off-Campus Housing portal to help make the decision that is right for you.  If you choose one of these options, please be sure to cancel your housing application via the Housing Portal.

If you have any questions about your housing options, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email or give us a call at 813-974-0001.
