Room Selection Availability
ROOM SELECTION UPDATE: November 7, 2023
Thank you for your interest in living on campus at the University of South Florida in Tampa. We are experiencing extremely high demand for on-campus housing and all beds designated for Spring 2024 room selection have been selected. This means students are no longer able to select a room or complete a room change for the Spring 2024 term.
Our team is preparing to initiate a standby list beginning Wednesday, November 8 at 10 a.m. for the Spring 2024 term. This does not mean USF Housing is out of rooms. The standby list process will allow students to sign up to be placed in the next space that becomes available. It is common for spaces to gradually become available as cancellations are processed and spaces allocated for special populations are released. By joining the standby list, the student agrees to be placed in the next available space on campus, regardless of room type. Students are agreeing to the cancellation terms outlined in the Housing Agreement when joining the list which does NOT include a 48-hour period to cancel without penalty.
To sign up for the standby list, students will need to complete the first steps of
their housing application. The standby list is now available on the homepage of the
housing portal, for continuing students only. New students still have spaces available to select
and a standby list has not yet been initatied for this population.
If you don’t wish to participate in the Standby List process, we would encourage you to explore the Tampa Student Government’s Off-Campus Housing portal.
We apologize for any difficulty this may cause you as you plan for your experience at USF. Please know we are working hard to accommodate as many students as possible on campus in a quick and efficient manner. If you have questions, please contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org or 813-974-0001.
