Academic Management Team

The English Language Program (ELP) is an Intensive English Program (IEP) housed within the Provost's Office at the University of South Florida. ELP provides English study programs and courses for INTO USF international students, as well as courses for international teaching assistants and other special groups needing English language instruction.

These are the members of the ELP academic management team:

The INTO USF Associate Director has oversight and responsibility for the operations of the academic programs aligned with the INTO USF Center. These include:

  • USF English Language Program
  • USF Undergraduate and Graduate EAP courses
  • CEA Accreditation
  • Faculty encompassing senior instructors, adjuncts and PhD TAs and MA interns
  • Academic management team
  • Special programs

Academic Program Coordinator

The Academic Program Coordinator is a faculty administrator whose primary areas of responsibility include:

  • Supervision of adjunct instructors and Ph.D. Teaching Assistants
  • New faculty orientation and onboarding
  • Mentorship program
  • Teacher Development Day 
  • Faculty professional development 
  • Academic orientation for AE students
  • Assessment Review Committee 
  • AE placement testing
  • Academic reporting on ELP programs
  • Textbook acquisition coordination
  • INTO USF Award Committee 
  • CEA accreditation coordination

Ms. Elena Erick 
Learning and Assessment Coordinator

The Learning and Assessment Coordinator is a faculty administrator whose primary responsibility is to manage the development and review of ELP curriculum and assessments of student learning outcomes.  Primary responsibilities include:

  • Curriculum review, design, and evaluation
  • Learning materials & textbook selection
  • Review of assessment practices for validity and reliability
  • Level exams management 
  • Curriculum Review Committee 
  • Mid-term check-in meetings
