Instructional Clinics

Specialty classes are offered each semester to provide participants the opportunity to learn a skill and progress their proficiency over the course of six weeks. Classes are meant to increase in difficulty as the series progresses, so participants are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible. Class offerings will vary from semester to semester. Advanced registration is required for each series and costs include all sessions during the six week series. 


Olympic Weightlifting Clinic
September 23rd through November 6th

Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30am-7:45am
REC Strength Floor
Students: $40 / Members: $55

The is clinic is led by USAW certified coach and will help you develop the skills necessary to effectively perform the snatch, clean and jerk. This 6-week program will focus on mastering technique and will provide you additional exercises to practice on your own.

Intro to Powerlifting
September 24th through October 31st

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30am - 7:45am
REC Strength Floor
Students: $40 / Members: $55

The focus of this instructional program is geared towards the three main compound lifts, the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Throughout this series, you will increase your strength while perfecting technique and learning modifications. Be sure to join this series so you can "raise the bar" of your fitness goals.
