Special Events

 

Various special events including challenges, competitions, incentive programs, and social media contests are offered throughout the year to keep you motivated to reach your fitness goals and stay engaged with Campus Recreation. Events are scheduled to reach many different interests and fitness levels. Most events are free for students and Campus Recreation members. Special events may require a small fee and/or advanced registration if space is limited.

Cycle Concert Series

September 13th: Rihanna
Combine your cardio workout with the soundtrack of your favorite artist. Be prepared to pedal harder and sing out loud in this cycling concert series ride featuring Rihanna.

October 2nd: Calvin Harris vs. Tiesto
Combine your cardio workout with the soundtrack of your favorite artist. Be prepared to pedal harder and sing out loud in this cycling concert series ride featuring the battle of the greatest hits from Tiesto and Calvin Harris.

November 7th: Bruno Mars
Combine your cardio workout with the soundtrack of your favorite artist. Be prepared to pedal harder and sing out loud in this cycling concert series ride featuring Bruno Mars.


Glow & Flow Yoga

October 30th: Gym Buddies or Swole Mates
Don't want to go to the gym alone? Need someone to help keep you motivated and accountable? Come learn about the benefits of having a work out partner. Who knows, maybe you'll find your next gym buddy or swole mate.

Triple Threat Sweat
November 8th

Sweat it out with 30 minutes of HIIT cardio, get strong with 30 minutes of total body strength, and cool down with a 30 minute yoga flow recovery. This special event class is the ultimate sweat party with a live DJ and giveaways for sweating it out.

Cinema Cycle
November 28th

Pitch Perfect: Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride! This two hour, endurance-based class will take you on a journey with your favorite A cappella groups in Pitch Perfect. Sing along to the soundtrack and get your MOVES in along the way!

Move more and stress less! Combine a cardio sweat session followed by a restorative yoga practice. We will ride for 45 minutes and then we will relax for 45 minutes.

Move more and stress less by joining us for a morning yoga class that will renew and refresh. This special event will feature a restorative yoga class followed by lattes and pastries. It's the perfect way to start your day. Yoga mats provided.
