Hanan Ibrahim Selected as USF’s First Luce Scholar

USF Judy Genshaft Honors College and College of Arts and Sciences alum Hanan Ibrahim will spend a year abroad studying Afro-Asian culture and language as a Luce Scholar. A current National Cancer Institute Fellow studying at the intersection of health and humanities, Ibrahim seeks to develop treatment for disease that is scientifically sound and culturally grounded.

Two USF Students Named 2026 Goldwater Scholars

University of South Florida third-year students Caleb Fernandes and Diya Upadhyaya have been awarded the nation’s highest honor for undergraduate STEM research, the Goldwater Scholarship. Continuing its remarkable research growth, USF has now produced at least one Goldwater Scholar every year since 2018.
